| Phuket Sea Canoeing
For a magical and fascinating sea canoeing or kayaking trip, journey to Phang Nga Bay on the eastern side of Phuket Island. Famous for its dramatic combination of limestone cliffs, tunnels, lagoons and caves, the pristine beauty of the landscape is breathtaking.
You paddle through dark, glittering caves and tunnels to emerge into stunning cliff-lined lagoons, called hâwng (Thai for room), inaccessible by any other means. Look out for exotic wildlife such as monkeys, eagles and other beautiful birds. You can take one day, three day or six day trips to see this unique and extraordinary environment, with accommodation on the Koh Yao Islands in the middle of the bay, ranging from camping, bungalows or hotels.

Phuket Scuba Diving
The seas around Phuket offer world-class diving in warm water averaging 25°C with great visibility, beautiful coral reefs and a diverse range of marine life, including vast schools of tropical fish, huge manta ray and the amazing whale shark.
For divers seeking a diverse range of underwater scenery, there are caves and wrecks to be explored, as well as sheer granite cliffs plunging deep into the ocean. Phuket offers an abundance of diving companies ready to take you on local day trips to popular sites, such as the King Cruiser car ferry wreck, Shark Point to spot Leopard Sharks or Racha Noi South Point where you can dive with manta rays. For something a bit different, the Racha Yai dive spot was commissioned for a man-made sculpture after the tsunami in 2004 - enter through large underwater temple gates and see statues of elephants, oysters and mythical creatures. |
Further afield, you can journey to the Koh Phi Phi Islands , Hin Daeng, Similian Islands , or further north up the Myanmar coast, on livaboard cruises. You can dive the Phuket dive spots all year round, but for the best conditions and clearest visibility, visit from November to April.
