Reaching Phuket

 

Car
It's an 860km drive south from Bangkok, through some extremely picturesque countryside. You will drive through Nakhon Pathom , Ratchaburi , Phetchaburi and Prachuap-Khirikan provinces, on a long straight road. When you reach Chumphon , take the road on the right signed to Ranong. Continue south through Kraburi and Kapoe Districts to Phang-Nga Province. When you reach Kok Kloy, cross the Sarasin Bridge to Phuket Island and you've made it.

 

Bus
From Bangkok , the bus trip takes about 14 hours and departs from the Southern Bus Terminal. Bus trips are also available from Singapore and Malaysia . There is also a bus journey that crosses the peninsular from Surat Thani, which is the closest train connection from Bangkok , Singapore and Malaysia .

Air
Thai Airways, Bangkok Airways, Air Asia, Singapore Airlines, Dragon Air, Silk Air and Malaysian Airlines all fly into Phuket International Airport, with routes from across Asia. Finding a flight shouldn't be too difficult and the journey takes about an hour and a half from Bangkok .
